Networking
- Expand high-speed internet to make educational and career opportunities accessible.
Arkansas students require access to high-speed internet and quality networking to build the skills to succeed in tomorrow’s workforce. Arkansas leads the nation in these initiatives as one of only three states who can provide a broadband speed of 1 Mbps per student to nearly 100% of the school districts across the state. Arkansas also has made major strides in broadband access in recent years by decreasing costs by 57% since 2018.
Commitments
In order to continue to increase access to high-quality internet for Arkansas students, ADE commits to:
- Deliver twice as much bandwidth to every student in the state: For the 2023-2024 school year, the Arkansas Public School Computer Network is setting a target goal of 2 Mbps per student broadband speed.
